Welcome to the Wear Boating Association.

The waterfront in Sunderland has been transformed in recent years by extensive redevelopment including the marina complex at the North Dock.

One of the features of the marina redevelopment is the new home of the Wear Boating Association or, as it is more commonly known, simply the WBA.

WBA offers a comfortable and friendly social atmosphere, with a fully licensed bar, as well as many boating related activities and events.      

Membership of WBA does not require that you own a boat but we hope that you will be encouraged to participate fully in all that WBA has to offer.  If this is your intention, WBA offers excellent training for all abilities from qualified experienced trainers.
